The Czech Dance Platform festival presents the most interesting of the Czech dance scene each year, drawing both the public and dance professionals from around the world. It’s a key event for networking, helping to create new national and international connections and collaborations.
A Dramaturgical Council of independent dance experts, including critics, curators, producers, or artists, selects 7 to 10 of the most interesting performances from the past year. Since 2024, this Dramaturgical Council has included international members to broaden its perspective.
The festival also offers a rich program of additional events, like Meet the Artists, site-specific performances, Artist Trips, discussions, and presentations.
The Czech Republic is the only country in Europe where this kind of platform has continued every year without interruption. In 2024, the festival celebrated its 30th anniversary.
